About the author

Peter Langfelder obtained his PhD in theoretical physics but has switched to biostatistics soon after its completion. He is one of the principal authors of WGCNA, a popular package for weighted network analysis of large quantitative data, as well as dynamicTreeCut, a more specialized package implementing methods for cluster identification in hierarchical clustering trees. He (co-)authored over 30 biostatistics publications and his work has gathered thousands of citations. Peter currently works as programmer-analyst at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA as data analyst and programmer.
